PUJADA ISLAND

     

        Pujada Island is an island located at Mati City, Davao Oriental. This island is open to all and has a clear water.









SUMMERFROLIC 2014

            Summerfrolic 2014 is a night party in Mati City. This is the first summerfrolic in Mati City and it was held at Dahican Beach Resort.





MASAO




                           Masao beach is located at the eastern part of Mati, Davao Oriental. This is about 18 km from Mati Poblacion situated at Sitio Dita, Barangay Bobon. It is resting stop overlooking Pujada Bay and is protected w/ railings that improve its ambiance.


        Dahican is a beach in Mati City which people can enjoy and this specific beach is open to all.
SLEEPING DINOSAUR


          
       One of the key attactions in Davao Oriental is the the so-called "sleeping dinosaur" of Mati City. It is Located at along Badas Point in Barangay Dawan, Mati Davao Oriental. One can see this overlooking view of a land formation that somehow resembles a submerged dinosaur sleeping on its belly.
Tourism
Mati offers beautiful landscapes and a number of beautiful resorts. The Provincial Capitol building and park rises atop the hill commanding a fantastic view of the  . Other locations that offer a bird's-eye view of the city are the Mati Tourism Complex and  Badas  viewdeck.

Mati has always been known as a beach destination, with foreigners flocking to the city to enjoy what its beaches have to offer. Dahican is one of the most popular destinations in Mati with its 17-kilometer pure, fine white sand shore. It has recently become a prime destination for surfers and skimboarders. Pujada Bay boasts 15,700 species of sea life and has been considered as among the richest bays in Southeast Asia. Economy
This region is linked to the markets of the Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia. Most of the local people rely on agriculture and agro-industries for a living. Exports include bananas, pineapples, coconuts and fish. Because of its nature and tropical beaches, tourism is a rapidly growing business. Mining is also a contributor to the city's economy, due to the large deposits of copper in the city outskirts.
